Flamenco inspired canvas art

I went to my first flamenco show 2 months ago and it was amazing. The crazy energy these dancers had all night was incredible.

I got inspired to create some form of art with flamenco in mind and after a combination of google search plus random doodling, I came up with these.

3 canvases, painted bright yellow, drawn with pencil and painted over using black and red acrylic paints. I added some gemstone stickers and other accessories. It was a lot of fun and now my walls look so cheerful and bright πŸ™‚

Here’s a pdf file of the images, if you would like to add your own spin to it. It’s not very clear but it will work just the same. Click on the link and save it on your computer:Β Template

I love them! I think the fact that they’re in Spanish colours just adds to the drama. Flamenco is pretty awesome isn’t it? I think it’s one of the few forms of dancing that I find to be kind of…. badass. Flamenco and tango.
