The most prominently different thing for me this past week has been adopting a baby chinchilla, as a companion to my older one. Chilli is the older one at 10 years and Pepper is 18 weeks old. This isn’t too different for me since I already have one chin but it’s different observing their personalities and attitudes to food, toys and more.
- My older chin, named Chilli, doesn’t like hard pieces of hay and keeps throwing them out of her bowl. The baby chin, named Pepper, loves them and nibbles on them all the time.
- Chilli is more lady like in behavior. Pepper likes to throw her poop at me if I’m not giving her attention.
- Chilli loves staying in her cage and chilling there. Pepper tries (and has succeeded twice) in sliding through the bars of her cage to explore the space beyond.
- Chilli hates having her picture taken but Pepper is a natural diva. Loves posing in front of the camera.
They are extremely different and it’s great fun watching all the madness unfold 🙂 Here are some pics of them so you can enjoy the cuteness.
