DIY Harry Potter Series – Amortentia Foot Scrub

I saw this heart shaped bottle at Hobby Lobby and just had to make a Potter themed love potion with it.

I measured the jar by adding plain epsom salt to see how much I would need. The jar was too small to hold bath salts for one sitting so I decided to make an Amortentia rose scented foot scrub.

Materials: For this, you will need epsom salt (1 – 1.5 cup), sea salt (1/2 cup), rose essential oil (10-15 drops), coconut oil (1/3 cup), beet powder or fresh beets to color the salt, dried rose petals (optional).

Steps: Mix all ingredients except the beets together. Once you have a uniform mixture, add small amounts of the beet juice to color the scrub. This can be strong so I would advice adding a few drops at a time to achieve the shade you would like.

Carefully pour into the jar. Print a label and stick using mod podge.

Enjoy the soothing comfort of rose on your feet. The epsom salt contains magnesium and helps get rid of toxins responsible for exacerbating inflammation while also reducing swelling, stiffness, and pain.
